Abstract

This study presents a robust numerical approach for analyzing thermoelastic anisotropic solids containing thin thread-like inhomogeneities. The specific features of applying the integral equation method to such inhomogeneities are examined. A solid boundary element technique is developed to handle 3D ill-posed boundary-value problems with boundary conditions defined along spatial curves. Mathematical models for thermoelastic anisotropic thread-like inhomogeneities are constructed, and several numerical examples are provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach.
